Celebrating Innovation and Leadership at Meighen Health Centre

We are proud to celebrate Meighen Health Centre, part of The Salvation Army, for receiving this year's Innovation and Excellence – Supporting Seniors award for Revolution in Communication in LTCH using Engage⁺ at the Advantage Ontario Annual Conference.
This recognition is not only a celebration of Meighen's commitment to resident-centered care but a testament to the vision and leadership of Monica Klein-Nouri, Executive Director.
In a sector where transparency can feel risky and innovation can be slow, Monica moved decisively. She understood that the future of long-term care lies in digital access, real-time communication, and partnership with families. Under her leadership, Meighen Health Centre adopted the Engage⁺ platform, providing families with secure access to vital resident updates—from care plans and vitals to medications and progress notes.
Monica saw what many are still grappling with: that proactive, transparent communication builds trust, reduces misunderstandings, and ultimately empowers both staff and families. Her leadership made Meighen one of the first homes in Ontario to fully embrace a digital family portal, and the results speak for themselves. Families are more engaged, staff are less burdened by repetitive calls, and the care community is stronger because of it.
At Evoke Health, we are humbled to be part of this journey. Monica's foresight, advocacy, and relentless focus on improving resident and family experiences are exactly what innovation in long-term care looks like. Her work reminds us that change is possible when leaders champion the right tools for the right reasons.
Congratulations to Monica and the entire Meighen Health team on this well-earned recognition. You are setting the standard for modern, compassionate, and transparent care.
